Atlanta is where I call home now but I was born in Chi-Town and no matter where I am it is always in my heart.  I was so very excited to see some positive news about teens from Chicago.  The last year news out of Chicago has been very depressing due to all the shooting and killings of young teens.

Englewood Prep Boys

Urban Prep 2007-2008 Annual Report

Englewood’s Urban Prep Academy for Young Men is Chicago’s only public all-male, all-African-American high school who has fulfilled its mission: 100 percent of its first senior class had been accepted to four-year colleges!  These young men will go on to be leaders in our communities.  To let ya’ll know Englewood is one of the toughest neighborhoods in Chicago, so these teens are a bright spot in all the things that plague  and affect young teens in most of inner city poor neighborhoods –Poverty, gangs, drugs, crime, low graduation rates, teen pregnancy
